During the past 8 years and more so after retirement photography became an important part of my life and the source of inspiration and pleasure. My friend Manfred Kriegelstein, a renowned photographer living in Berlin, showed me the magic and beauty of this art. He taught me the basics of post processing and printing. Admiring famous photographers like Ansel Adams and Henri Cartier-Bresson, I improved my own photographic skills on journeys with Steve McCurry in Burma 2012 and in India 2013, where we stayed in Allahabad during the Kumbh Mela. Visiting the Antarctic Peninsula 2017 on a small boat was an overwhelming and once in a lifetime experience. Some of the pictures from the Antarctic are shown in my gallery. I do my own printing on Hahnemühle FineArt-Papers. If you are interested in one of my pictures, just let me know.
